Vendors
We always identify your needs before suggesting any particular vendor's solution. All of the vendors we work with today have been selected following a specific customer requirement. On some occasions in the past our customers made their vendor selection decision and subsequently asked us to supply and support the solution.
We have developed a special relationship with a small number of vendors based on rigorous evaluation by our engineering team. These selected vendors have proved on many occasions that they provide best fit and best of breed solutions for our customer's requirements. These include:
Aastra - deliver very good business unified communication solutions. Entirely dedicated to enterprise communications, Aastra offers one of the most complete portfolios of unified communications solutions individually tailored to satisfy its customers' requirements. Aastra have a strong focus on open standards, enabling enterprises to communicate and collaborate more efficiently.
Actelis Networks - deliver Ethernet network connectivity over telephone grade copper circuits. They are very useful on campus, holiday-park and Local Authority networks where the customer owns the external telephone line plant or the two ends of the link are within the same exchange area, and where it is not cost effective to install optical fibre. The speed of service is determined by the number of pairs, cable length and quality of the copper circuit.
ADC Krone - are our preferred cabling solution vendor. ADC Krone have consistently delivered quality and standards compliant solutions that have stood the test of time. We have ADC Krone installations across the UK and have been installing their solutions in one form or another for over 20 years.
Allied Telesis - we use Allied Telesis switches in many of our remote customer locations where we do not need the full feature set of a Cisco switch. Allied Telesis switches are reliable and cost effective and their feature set is more than sufficient for most remote office type applications. We successfully deploy AT switches in fully integrated Cisco/Allied Telesis/HP ProCurve networks.

BridgeWave Communications - Gigabit Ethernet outdoor wireless connectivity solutions, delivering the highest availability at the longest distances for full rate Gigabit Ethernet solutions. Cisco - we have won two awards with Cisco solutions. The first in 2004 - Network Project of the Year Award for our innovative satellite overlay solution. The second in 2005 - Network Team of the Year Award for a combined MPLS network and Data Centre build project. We supply, install and support a wide range of Cisco switches, routers, security and wireless networking products.
Firetide - mesh wireless networking solutions for temporary or difficult to get to locations. Firetide's self-forming and self-healing solution enables rapid deployment and very reliable operation for voice, data and video network solutions. HP ProCurve - we supply, install and support HP ProCurve switch and wireless (formerly Colubris) solutions. We are very impressed with the build quality of HP ProCurve products and have successfully deployed reliable and robust networks in many environments. The equipment is backed by a lifetime warranty. We have successfully deployed many networks using a mix of HP ProCurve, Cisco and Allied Telesis switches. Meru Networks - simply out perform other wireless solutions. Meru Networks design is fundamentally different to all other vendors. The easiest way to describe the difference between Meru Networks and other wireless vendors is to liken other vendors to Ethernet hub solutions - a shared, contended solution. Whereas, Meru Networks wireless solutions can be likened to an Ethernet switched network, providing individual users with an effective class of service. Siemens Communications - business telephone system, unified communication and wireless network solutions. Our engineers have many years experience installing and supporting HiPath solutions.
SMC Networks - Tiger switches have solved a few difficult problems for us. We have deployed their Long Range Ethernet (LRE) range of equipment on many campus wide networks where the only inter-building connections available were via external telephone cables. We also use their 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches.
